AusBiotech are excited to confirm the range of site tours that will be available to attendees to the AusBiotech International Conference 2025 taking place on Tuesday 21 October.

Aikenhead Centre for Medical Discovery

Australia’s newest biomedical engineering research translation located at the St Vincents Health Fitzroy campus, the centre focuses on healthcare challenges and research priorities by translating innovations in 

  • Medtech – smart devices, bionics, implantables, prosthetics, artificial materials 
  • Biotech – regenerative medicine, biomaterials, targeted delivery systems 
  • Digital Health – analytics, precision medicine, machine learning

Monash University and the Alfred Research Alliance

Research at the precinct includes eight organisations and 8,000 staff, working together across 20 disease disciplines uniquely positioned within one of Australia’s leading specialist hospitals. The Alliance partners have expertise in a comprehensive range of medical and health research skills, from lab-based discovery science to public health and implementation science, positioning it as a hub of bench-to-bedside innovation and translation, including commercial partner organisations delivering clinical trials and support services. https://www.alfredresearchalliance.org.au/

The Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute (ONJCRI)

A leading independent medical research institute, dedicated to the discovery of innovative cancer treatments. At ONJCRI, world-class researchers and clinicians are brought together in a uniquely integrated environment. This close collaboration ensures discoveries are designed with patient needs at the core – driving innovation for therapies that are more effective, tolerable and accessible. The Institute is located at Austin Health and has partners including La Trobe University’s School of Cancer Medicine.
